How do I get Around France?
The easiest way to travel around France is to drive but it can get very expensive and parking is difficult. France has an extensive railway network, but most of the trains radiate out from Paris and may not provide service to smaller towns. There are bus and coach companies that offer a less expensive way to travel between cities. These are used more for short trips to areas that do not have train service, such as Normandy. Bicycles are also common forms of transportation in France and there a many bike paths and lanes, even in areas of heavy traffic.
