What is the Weather in France?
Most of France has a Mediterranean climate, which means there are hot summers and cool winters. Central France has a continental climate which means the summers range from warm to hot and winters include a lot of precipitation and cold temperatures. The western portions of France have an oceanic climate. Temperature ranges are smaller and are fairly temperate although here is significant rainfall.
How do I get Around France?
The easiest way to travel around France is to drive but it can get very expensive and parking is difficult. France has an extensive railway network, but most of the trains radiate out from Paris and may not provide service to smaller towns. There are bus and coach companies that offer a less expensive way to travel between cities. These are used more for short trips to areas that do not have train service, such as Normandy. Bicycles are also common forms of transportation in France and there a many bike paths and lanes, even in areas of heavy traffic.
